Papisnoop’s childhood and education

Ibrahim Oladapo a.k.a. Papisnoop was born on the 21st of March. His exact year of birth, however, is not currently known. He is a native of Lagos State, where he also grew up. Not much information is known about Papisnoop’s childhood and education.

He, however, reportedly attended Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ogun State, but his course of study and year of graduation are not available at the time of writing this article. 

Papisnoop’s music career

Papisnoop officially began his career as a musician in 2016. Before that, he was performing freestyle music with his homies on and off social media. Papisnoop’s debut single is “The Hustle”. The song brought recognition to his name, and later that year (2016), he released another hit single featuring Zlatan Ibile. 

Few months after his collabo with Zlatan Ibile, Papisnoop was signed to the Zanku Record Label owned by Zlatan Ibile. Papisnoop and Zlatan were rumoured to have been friends “from way back” before he was signed to Zlatan’s record label. 

In 2019, Papisnoop’s fame skyrocketed when he produced a bam single, titled “If To Say”, where he featured Bella Shmurda, one of the top new music sensations making waves right now. Not long after that, a creative music video of the song was also released. It went viral and garnered lots of views on YouTube and other platforms.

Papisnoop’s name was ringing hard at the time, and he was mentioned many times as one of the new artistes to watch out for in 2019. He didn’t rest on his oars but he quickly released another hit single titled, “Through Da Streets”. 

Papisnoop has featured a couple of popular Nigerian musicians in his songs, including Naira Marley in “Pay Her Money”. The song was a hit and did well in charts at the time of its release. Other musicians Papisnoop has featured include Zlatan Ibile, Jamo Pyper, and Bella Shmurda. 

It was also argued that Papisnoop’s verse on Zlatan Ibile’s “Unripe Pawpaw” was one of the best verses in the song. The song also had other new artistes like Oberz and Jamo Pyper in it.
