White man named ‘Yakubu Durojaiye’ speaks fluent Yoruba

An elderly white man called Yakubu Durojaiye has amazed social media after he was caught in a video speaking fluent Yoruba.

Yakubu Durojaiye claimed Nigerian citizenship and said he’s from Ilorin, the capital city of Kwara in North Central Zone of Nigeria

Mr Durojaiye said he lived in Ilorin for two years as a teacher. According to the elderly white man, he enjoyed a number of Nigerian delicacies during his stay in the country.

In the video shared by one Abimbola Majekodunmi-Onokoya on Facebook, Yakubu Durojaiye is seen in having a conversation in fluent Yoruba with a Nigerian lady.

Durojaiye told the unidentified lady that he lived in Ilorin for two years, where he was a teacher, adding that he enjoyed a number of Nigerian delicacies while there.
