‘I did not lie’ – Tonto Dikeh reacts to NCPC’s denial of her ambassadorship

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has reacted to the news of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) denying her appointment as the commission’s ambassador.

The actress had on Friday, February 26, shared on Instagram that she has been made the ambassador of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC).

“I NOW BE PROUD NIGERIA CHRISTIAN PILGRIM COMMISSION(NCPC) AMBASSADOR FOR PEACE BUILDING….” the actress wrote.

The following day, the commission released a statement disowning the actress as their ambassador.

In the statement signed by Celestine Toruka, the NCPC’s head of media and public relations, the commission denied the actress’s claim that she has been made their ambassador and urged Nigerians to disregard the claims.

Reacting to the development, Tonto Dikeh maintained that she did not lie but hinted there was a conspiracy to remove her.

The actress and mother wrote:

“There are video proofs, but I would Rather respect the commission’s decision and take the Fall. Thanks to every Christian body that fought against this Growth.”
