Scoot Henderson grew up in a sports-inclined family and started his basketball career at a young age. He played for Carlton J. Kell High School where he was a 5-star recruit. He scored 49 points and made the game-winning shot in a 92-91 overtime win over Miller Grove High School in the first round of the class 5A state tournament during his sophomore season in February 2020.
The basketball player received his first Division 1 Scholarship offer from Ole Miss, holding offers from Florida State and Georgia Tech. Scoot reclassified to the 2021 class and joined the NBA G League Ignite, declining offers from Auburn and Georgia. He signed a multi-year endorsement deal with Puma in 2022 and also launched his own boys’ and girls’ Amateur Athletic Union Programs the same year.
