The Edo State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Professor Yinka Omorogbe, has on Friday, debunked earlier social media reports about murdered UNIBEN student Uwa Omozuwa.
Uwa Omozuwa was a 100-level student of Microbiology at the University of Benin who was raped and murdered by unknown men while studying in a church in Benin.
The reports claimed that Uwa was reportedly pregnant for the pastor and her refusal to abort the pregnancy as the pastor wanted was what eventually led to her death.
Attorney-General Yinka Omorogbe, however, denied the report during a protest organized by members of the Edo Women Development Initiatives.
Professor Omorogbe disclosed that Uwa was a virgin before she was raped and murdered.
Omorogbe also said the news of her being impregnated by her pastor caused further anguish to the family members.
