Pelumi Onifade – Journalist who recorded video of Bolarinwa shooting at protesters is dead

Pelumi Onifade – the journalist who recorded a video of a Nigerian politician Abiodun Bolarinwa shooting at unarmed protesters in Abulegba has died.

According to the reports, Pelumi Onifade was killed by men of the Lagos State Task Force the same week the video of Lagos politician, Abiodun Bolarinwa shooting at #ENDSARS protesters at Abulegba went viral on social media.

Pelumi, 20, was a 200-level student of the Department of History, Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State.

He was an intern with GboahTV – the platform that posted the viral video.

Pelumi was picked up by men of the Lagos State Task Force and was not seen for a long time. His corpse was later found at the mortuary of the state’s general hospital, Ikorodu.

Pelumi Onifade filmed the viral video of Lagos politician, Abiodun Bolarinwa shooting at unarmed protesters at Abulegba. About three people reportedly died from the shooting incident.

Comrade Abiodun Bolarinwa is a Nigerian politician and youth leader. He is the President of the Yoruba Youth Forum (YYF).
