It has become a sad day for the indigenes of Ondo State as they mourn the death of Oba Joseph Olu-Ojo, the Iralepo of Isikan in Akure South Local Government.
He was one of the longest-reigning monarchs of the state, having spent 43 years on the throne.
Oba Olu-Ojo took over from his predecessor, Oba Aladetoyinbo, on July 3, 1978, after his demise in 1976.
While alive, Oba Olu-Ojo was one of the pioneering staff of the General Hospital in Akure, Ondo state and was promoted to the position of Chief Store Officer having gathered quality training in storekeeping in a school in Lagos.
The monarch is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
