‘Nigerians who flaunt extravagant lifestyles will now be investigated’ – Lauretta Onochie

The Federal Government of Nigeria has concluded plans to start investigating the extravagant lifestyle of some Nigerians.

President Buhari’s aide on social media, Lauretta Onochie, revealed in a social media statement on Monday, March 22, that “lifestyle audit” is now legal in Nigeria.

According to her, Nigerians who flaunt lifestyles they cannot afford can now be called up by any of the anti-graft agencies to explain the source of their income.

Ms Onochie tweeted:

“Lifestyle Audit is now legal in Nigeria. Those who flaunt lifestyles they cannot afford, can now be investigated by any of the graft agencies to produce evidence of the sources of their wealth You can now be called upon to explain how you acquired certain properties.”
