British racing giant McLaren has signed 13-year-old Ugo Ugochukwu, the first son of supermodel Oluchi Onweagba.
The long-term contract will see the young racer through his development in motorsport, from junior to senior categories.
Ugo Ugochukwu, 13, represents the United States in kart racing contests. He has been winning kart racing awards since 2013 when he was only 8. Last year, Ugochukwu won the 2020 FIA OKJ European Championship.
Reacting to her son’s signing, Nigerian supermodel Oluchi Onweagba wrote on Instagram:
“Thank you GOD! Angels in the heavenlies Thank you! Watch over your Son. @ugougochukwu It’s beyond us.”
Oluchi Onweagba has two sons with her husband, Luca Orlandi, an Italian fashion designer.
