“When We Were Young” festival (WWWF) is a one-day music festival held in Las Vegas, Nevada, which focuses on pop-punk, emo, and indie rock. It kicked off in 2022 when its one-day lineup was extended to three days due to overwhelming interest.

The first incarnation of the festival took place at The Observatory in Santa Ana, California, United States on April 8 and 9, 2017. In 2022, the festival was moved to Winchester, Nevada at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds.

The 2022 event was announced on January 18, 2022, as a one-day event on October 22, 2022. Tickets sold out quickly, leading to the addition of second and third dates on October 23 and 29, 2022. On October 11, 2022, the festival announced it was returning in 2023.

“When We Were Young” Music Festival was founded by American entertainment company Live Nation Entertainment to cater to the teeming fans of emo and pop-punk music. After the 2017 incarnation event, the show had its Las Vegas debut five years later (in 2022).

The 2022 “When We Were Young” Festival (WWWF) event was completely sold out and despite the first day of the show being cancelled due to bad weather conditions, the whole festival was met with generally positive reviews.

In 2022, the “When We Were Young” festival attracted tens of thousands of emo and pop-punk music fans worldwide and attained unanticipated recognition. The festival is known for its emo and pop-punk sets and diverse lineup, including well-known and lesser-known artists.

“When We Were Young” 2023 – Location/Venues

The 2023 “When We Were Young” Festival is expected to take place at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, an open-air venue on the Las Vegas Strips in Winchester, Nevada, United States.

The full address of the venue is Las Vegas Festival Grounds, 311 W Sahara Avenue Las Vegas, Nevada 89101.

According to the festival’s management, the festival grounds are only accessible by walking (luckily, the venue is just a few miles from the Harry Reid International Airport), rideshare and Las Vegas Monorail. There is no parking space for people wishing to come in their private vehicles.


The festival which features a myriad of punk, pop-punk, and alternative acts, will take place on October 21, 2023. The event will run the majority of the day from 11 am to 12 am. The actual number of shows and set times have not been released.

The presale of the tickets for the 2023 festival started on October 14, 2022, at 2 pm PT. According to reports, the response was so massive that the tickets got sold out in about two hours. a. General Admission Tickets (GA) – start from $249.99 for Tier 1; $259.99 for Tier 2 and $279.99 for Tier 3 admission).

b. General Admission Plus Tickets (GA+) – start from $419.99 for Tier 1; $429.99 for Tier 2 and $479.99 for Tier 3.

c. VIP Tickets – start at about $519.99 for Tier 1; $529.99 for Tier 2 and $539.99 for Tier 3.

d. VIP Cabana Package costs $17,000 and comes with 10 VIP tickets plus other special privileges.
