Merry Men 2 – the much-anticipated sequel to the 2018 action Nollywood drama “Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons” is out on Netflix and, just like the first part, the reviews are mixed.
Merry Men 2 features the same lead cast from the first movie with some new additions – comedian and former child actor Williams Uchemba joined the team while a new female squad featuring Ufuoma McDermott, Linda Osifo, Nancy Isime and Alex Asogwa was introduced.

Despite mixed reviews, the first movie – Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons – was a commercial success.
Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons is currently the 6th highest-grossing Nollywood movie of all time, having made around N235 million, just behind Kemi Adetiba’s blockbuster “King of Boys”.
On Twitter, the reception for Merry Men 2 is generally mixed. While some are praising the production, especially the acting and cinematography, others share different sentiments about the film.
There are others who think differently and are saying Merry Men 2 is trash.
No movie (not minding how well done) has ever received a full 100 per cent positive rating so this is not surprising.
