BBNaija Neo revealed during their wager task of the week that his father is the notable Nigerian legal practitioner, Chief Efecha Leo Akpofure, SAN.
Neo also said during the task that he comes from a big, polygamous family of over 20 siblings.
A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, BBNaija Neo’s father – Chief Efecha Leo Akpofure – is the founding partner of E.L. Akpofure Chambers (1978) and Irese Chambers.
Chief Efecha Leo Akpofure was made SAN in 1998 and has represented many high-profile companies as a legal counsel, including Nigeria’s top commercial bank, UBA and some oil companies as well.
Chief Efecha Leo Akpofure (SAN) gained more popularity in the legal field when he was hired by Governor James Ibori of Delta State as his personal lawyer. Chief Efecha Leo Akpofure worked for Ibori in several cases involving elections.
Chief Efecha Leo Akpofure who is 70 years old studied Law at the prestigious University of Ife (1972 – 1976). He attended the Nigerian Law School between 1976 – 1977.
Chief Efecha Leo Akpofure also holds prominent traditional titles in his community – he is the Okakuro of Agbon and also the Eruvwu of Ogor Kingdom.
