Meet Esther Agbaje, Nigerian woman who just won US state assembly election

Nigerian woman, Esther Agbaje has been elected into the Minnesota House of Representatives during the November 3rd US general elections.

Following her win, Esther Agbaje has become the first Nigerian American to be elected into the Minnesota legislature.

Ms Agbaje will represent District 59B in the 134-member House on the platform of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL), an affiliate of the U.S. Democratic Party.

Esther Agbaje is a graduate of Harvard Law School specialized in public interest law in the areas of infrastructure, energy, housing, and civil rights.

Esther Agbaje is currently 35 years old.

She won the Minnesota State Representative elections by a landslide, polling a total of 17,396 votes (about 74.7% of the total ballots cast).
