Adesua Etomi is the youngest child of three children. Her father is a soldier from Edo State and her mother, an engineer.

Adesua Etomi was born on February 22, 1988, in Owerri, Imo State. She had her nursery and primary education in Corona College in Victoria Island Lagos and had her secondary school degree in Queens College, Sabo, Yaba. She proceeded to obtain a Diploma in Physical Theatre, Musical Theatre and Performing Arts from the City Coventry College. After that, she bagged a degree in Drama and Performing Arts from the University of Wolverhampton with a distinction.

After completing her university education, Adesua Etomi moved back to Nigeria to kickstart her acting career. She made her acting debut in the movie “Knocking on Heavens Door”. In 2016, she won the Best Actress award at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards for her role in the romantic drama, Falling, which also featured Majid Michel and Desmond Elliot.

Adesua Etomi’s film credits include some of Nollywood’s most notable movies including The Arbitration, The Wedding Party, Falling and most recently, Shuga Rush.  In April 2019, Vogue Magazine featured her as one of 14 global stars.
