Akungba Accident: Dangote truck kills over 10 students in Ondo

Tragedy befell Ondo State, Nigeria on Saturday, January 23, after a Dangote truck rammed into some buildings at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba (AAUA), killing no fewer than 10 students.

The truck was reported to be transporting cement from Obajana in Kogi State before the accident occurred.

We gathered the incident happened at about 6:00 p.m in the evening on Saturday, January 23. The said truck had suffered a brake failure and rammed into buildings located around the entrance of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba.

A student of the university informed DNB Stories that over 10 bodies were recovered while another student, a female, who claimed to have personally witnessed the incident said the bodies numbered up to 15.
