Who is Ric Hassani? Real facts about the musician allegedly engaged to Waje

Since Nigerian singer Waje created a storm when she posted a photo of herself in a coupled-up position with male singer Ric Hassani on Instagram.

Since the photo became public, the Nigerian internet space has been buzzing with search queries of who Ric Hassani is.

Waje’s photo sparked dating and wedding rumours with the young singer who is 8 years younger than her.

Waje, 40, had on Tuesday posted a photo of herself in a loved-up position with Ric Hassani who turned 32 on January 6.

The singer, often dubbed “Africa’s vocal powerhouse” in the media captioned the photo: “It’s time.”

Immediately she posted the photo, friends and colleagues of the singer and actress flooded Instagram with messages congratulating her.

There were also speculations that the two might only have just done a duet together.

Ric Hassani’s real name is Ikechukwu Eric Ahiazu and he was born in Port Harcourt. Ric Hassani’s tribe is Igbo. Close friends of the singer sometimes call him Rico Slim.
