Mawuli Gavor’s childhood and education
Mawuli Gavor was born and raised in Accra, Ghana. He had most of his early education in Ghana but moved to the United States during his teenage days. Mawuli studied Business Management and Finance at the Franklin and Marshall College located in Pennsylvania. He then returned to Ghana to pick up a career in Accounting. He started as an employee in a notable firm in Ghana but was modelling part-time while working.

While working as an accountant, Mawuli Gavor was involved in modelling on the side – a side hustle he started at the age of 19. He decided to resign when he landed his first major deal as a brand ambassador for Martini Global for Ghana at first. The company later asked him to become an ambassador for Martini Nigeria as well.
More juicy contracts began to come Mawuli Gavor’s way, getting him to really focus on an entertainment career. He made this acting debut in the 2015 Nollywood movie titled “A Place Called Happy” where he acted alongside other talented Nigerian actors like Blossom Chukwujekwu, Sika Osei, Kiki Omeili and Deyemi Okanlawon.
Mawuli Gavor disclosed he visited Nigeria to shoot the movie and then went back to Ghana. He later made the decision to move fully to Nigeria after he was cast in a major role in the Africa Magic TV series, “Hush”.
Mawuli Gavor’s acting career has flourished since then and he has gone on to feature in so many other notable movies and TV shows, including “Obsession”, “Rumor Has It”, “Chief Daddy” “PayDay” and “Sugar Rush”.
Most recently, Mawuli Gavor appeared in the Jamaican film, “Joseph”, a story about a boy struggling to regain a long-lost connection with his African roots. Mawuli Gavor has worked with some of Nollywood’s most respected actors including the likes of Joke Sylvia, Richard-Mofe Damijo (RMD), Patience Oziokwor, Shaffy Bello, Nkem Owoh, Dakore Egbuson Akande, Kate Henshaw, Bisola, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, and many others.
