Cross River school girl comes to school with a gun to shoot teacher who disciplined her

Students and staff of Government Secondary School, Ikot Ewa in Cross River State were thrown into fear two weeks ago after a female student of the school came to class with a locally-made gun.

Luckily, she was caught before any harm was done. Upon interrogation, the girl confessed that she brought the gun to shoot her teacher for telling her to cut her coloured hair.

It was learnt that the girl, identified as Promise Idorenyin, got the gun from her older lover named Okon Effiong Edet whom she has been seeing for over a year.

The incident reportedly took place on February 11 and the said student was handed over to the authorities after the intervention of some military men.
