Nigerian activist and publisher Omoyele Sowore arrived in court today, March 3, in the company of a traditional priest, also known as a “native doctor”.
The human rights activist and Sahara Reporters publisher caused a stir online after he posted images of himself arriving the court premises with a native doctor.
He captioned the photos:
“The Gods Are Not To Blame” – Ola Rotimi #RevolutionNow #BuhariMustGo.”
One of the photos showed the native doctor quietly seated among the audience in court while Sowore’s trial proceeded.

Sowore was re-arrested on New Year’s Eve following a peaceful protest in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja.
