Nigerians all over social media have turned up support for Nigerian player Samuel Chukwueze after his team Villarreal defeated Manchester United in penalties at the Uefa Europa League final on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old who is still recovering from an injury watched the game from the bench as his men take on the Red Devils 11 – 10 in final penalty score following a 1-1 draw at regular time.
Following Villarreal’s victory at the Wednesday game, Samuel Chukwueze has joined the list of Nigerian players to win silverware this season with the likes of Asisat Oshoala (Uefa Women’s Champions League) and Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City).
