Who is Mike Godson?
Mike Godson is a popular Nigerian actor, model and entrepreneur. He is known for acting in romantic Nollywood movies.
Mike Godson’s full name is Michael Godson Ifeanyichukwu. He was born on October 10, 1985, as the fifth child of seven children to parents Mr and Mrs Ifeanyichukwu in Kano State. However, the 36-year-old actor is originally from Imo State.
Godson obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Theater and Film Arts from the Univerity of Jos, Plateau State. He started his acting career in 2009 and rose to prominence in 2015, after starring in the movie “7 Books of Moses”. The movie was directed by Nonso Emeka and produced by Richrock Productions.
Godson signed a deal with a Bollywood production team affiliated with Zee World in 2018. He also has an agro-processing and commodity-trading company.
The actor has featured in over 200 movies since the launch of his career. He was appointed as Youth Ambassador by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in 2016.

Nollywood actor Mike Godson was rumoured to have gotten married to an American woman identified as Latreece (spelt as Latereece in some reports) in 2019, but it later turned out to be false.
Despite not being married, Mike Godson has been involved in one or two relationship rumours/speculations. He was even fingered in Tonto Dikeh’s marital scandal and controversial divorce. Apart from the American lady, he was also speculated to have been romantically involved with Nollywood actress, Ini Edo.
However, the actor has made it known during a post he made after his friend Nosa Rex got married, that marriage is not part of his present problem at this time.
Interestingly, he took to the media sometime in 2020 to accuse Nigerian blogger Linda Ikeji of being the reason why he is still single and unmarried after she published a false report that he was already married.
Mike Godson and Queeneth Hilbert romance
Mike Godson had jokingly shared a picture of himself posing with actress Queeneth Hilbert at a movie location while he had a big bandage over his left eye.
He made a hilarious caption, claiming to be abused by his wife.
The caption read: “She was a bad wife! Marry her and be like me. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! She shaved all my hair like Samson in the bible. I Repeat RUN For Your LIFE!”
The picture was taken at a movie set and it is known that Godson and Hilbert share a good cordial relationship but are not romantically involved.

Based on reports sighted by DNB Stories Africa, a US-based woman named Latreece had come online in 2019 to claim that she had been married to Mike Godson since 2018. According to the woman, they had a very quiet wedding ceremony in 2018 and she was even expecting a set of twins for the actor.
However, Mike Godson took to the media in May 2019 to deny the allegations. According to him, he has never met the lady before and described her as “retarded”. He also made it clear that she was probably just a fan seeking his attention.
Mike Godson’s allegation against Linda Ikeji
Mike Godson had taken to the media in 2020 to accuse blogger Linda Ikeji of being the reason he hasn’t been able to marry. According to him, women started avoiding him after Linda Ikeji published a fake report about him being married to an American lady and also expecting twins with her.
He alleged that the fake news of his alleged marriage to the US woman had succeeded in chasing ladies away from him. He said women no longer take him seriously whenever he tries wooing them because they think he is married and all he gets from them are congratulatory messages and texts.
The fair-skinned actor then pleaded with bloggers to ensure that they do proper research and investigations before publishing a story.
Mike Godson’s relationship with Ini Edo
Mike Godson was once rumoured to be in a romantic relationship with Ini Edo after intimate photos of them appeared on the internet.
Godson later denied the rumours of dating Ini Edo. He stated that they are just friends, adding that she is perhaps someone he could share his feelings and ideas with. He also acknowledged that she is a very intelligent woman and he admires her for that.
Mike Godson’s involvement in Tonto Dikeh’s divorce
Mike Godson was one of the Nigerian celebrities that shaded Tonto Dikeh on the media during her marital scandal and divorce from Olakunle Churchill. The actor had referred to Tonto as a “witch” while he prayed for protection against evil women.
Tonto Dikeh had reacted to the shade in the comment section of her post, saying Godson is too little for her to banter with.
