If you’ve been searching for popular Nigerians with Guinness World Records (GWR), you’re in the right place. Over the years, Nigerians have continued to put the country on the global stage with record-breaking achievements. From music to cooking and sports, these Nigerian Guinness World Record holders prove that the country is blessed with talented and creative minds.
Ever since Hilda Baci’s record-breaking cooking marathon in 2023, more Nigerians have been inspired to chase their own Guinness World Records. Although some, like Chef Dammy’s attempt, have been unsuccessful, they show just how passionate Nigerians are about making history.
The trend even had people cracking jokes online, with one X user saying:
“Na Nigerians go tear this Guinness book las las.”
Translation: “Nigerians will eventually break every Guinness World Record.”
However, before this recent trend by Nigerians to break Guinness World Records, there have been popular Nigerians who already claimed records in different categories. In this 2025 update, DNB Stories Africa highlights 8 famous Guinness World Record holders in Nigeria.
