How Hilda Baci started her career
Hilda Baci’s interest in cooking was inspired by her mother, Lynda Ndukwe. In 2016, she graduated with a degree in Sociology from Madonna University. Upon her graduation, Hilda Baci pursued a career in media and culinary arts. She then went to a culinary school where she trained to perfect her culinary skills.

Baci was originally set to cook for 96 hours but she later extended it to a hundred.
During her cook-a-thon, Hilda Baci received tremendous support from Nigerians. She cooked for four days, preparing over 200 meals served to over 4,000 people. On Tuesday, June 13, 2023, Guinness World Record officially acknowledged Baci’s efforts, naming her the new world record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
However, Guinness World Records reduced Hilda Baci’s cooking time from 100 to 93 hours and 11 minutes (short of about 7 hours) due to miscalculations made by Baci during her breaks.
