Nigeria’s top reality TV show, Big Brother Naija, is set to return for a fourth season.
Here are all the details you might need about the 4th season of one of the most successful and talked-about reality TV shows in Nigeria:
1. The 4th season will be hosted in Nigeria
Unlike the previous seasons where contestants are required to travel to South Africa for filming, this year’s season will actually be filmed in Nigeria. No official announcement has been released about the host state but there is every chance it’d likely be Lagos.
MultiChoice Nigeria’s General Manager, Sales and Marketing, Martin Mabutho, revealed in a statement that the Nigerian Big Brother House is currently under construction and would be ready before the kick off.
2. Bet9ja replaces Payporte as headline sponsor
After headlining two seasons as the major sponsor, Payporte has been replaced by Bet9ja as the new headline sponsor for Big Brother Naija.
3. Auditions dates have been announced
Auditions will hold on Friday, February 1, 2019 and Saturday, February 2, 2019 and will take place in 8 major cities across Nigeria — namely, Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Warri, Ibadan, Benin, and Enugu.
4. Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will return as the host
After hosting the previous two seasons, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will return again as the host of the show’s 4th season.
