MultiChoice MD, John Ugbe, has revealed that over 900 million votes were recorded across all voting platforms during the just-concluded Big Brother Naija Season 5 show, making it the highest-voted BBNaija season ever.
According to MultiChoice Nigeria, organizers of the Big Brother Naija shows, the just-concluded 2020 BBNaija season recorded the highest number of votes ever in the history of the show.
The Managing Director of MultiChoice Nigeria, John Ugbe, made the revelation today, September 30, at a media briefing and during the presentation of the prize money to the 2020 BBNaija winner, Laycon.
Mr John Ugbe also added that the cost of running the show was N3.5bn.
Multichoice’s revelation of the massive vote count has led to social media debates about the huge amount of money the show organizers are pocketing.
