A South African schoolgirl named Lufuno Mavhunga has committed suicide after she was aggressively bullied by a fellow schoolmate over R5 (about N150).
A video of the moment Lufuno Mavhunga was being physically attacked by another schoolgirl named Darlene Candy has surfaced online following news of her death.
The hashtag #JusticeForLufuno has been trending for hours on Twitter following news of Lufuno’s death.
The video shows Candy slapping Lufuno who appeared calm and not fighting back multiple times. A few of their schoolmates tried to separate them but was not very successful.
Some of the schoolchildren were laughing as Lufuno was being bullied.
Unable to shake off the public assault, Lufuno Mavhunga took her own life. The sad news of her death has stirred outrage on social media as people demand justice for her.
The hashtag #JusticeForLufuno has been trending for hours on Twitter following news of Lufuno’s death.
Social media users have also flocked to Darlene Candy’s page on Facebook to express their anger over her wickedness. Many also cursed her.
