Ex-finance minister Kemi Adeosun resurfaces, launches charity store

Nigeria’s former minister of finance, Kemi Adeosun has resurfaced after over two years of staying out of the media.

Mrs Kemi Adeosun who has been out of media attention since her resignation in 2018 was spotted over the weekend at the launch of her charity store called “Dash Me Store” – an online thrift store for the less-privileged.

The “Dash Me Store” launch is part of the initiatives of Kemi Adeosun’s self-founded foundation, the Dash Me Foundation.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was at the event to support the initiative.

Mrs. Kemi Adeosun was forced to tender her resignation letter as Nigeria’s finance minister in September 2018 following a media report that disclosed she never participated in the mandatory one-year NYSC scheme, as required for anybody holding a public office in Nigeria.
