Angel is one of the female housemates of the 2021 BBNaija Season 6 edition tagged ‘Shine Ya Eyes’. She got into the show as the first female housemate on Sunday, July 25th 2021.
BBNaija Angel’s full name is Angel Agnes Smith and she is a writer and content creator based in Lagos.
During her entry into the show, Angel described herself as a feminist who is beautiful, friendly, and funny if she is not under pressure.
The housemate has received support from Nollywood actresses Nkechi Blessing and Mary Njoku after being body-shamed by viewers of the show for wearing a dress that revealed her saggy boobs at the premiere of the show.
BBNaija Angel revealed during her entry into the show that she has about 11 tattoos and two piercings and she claims her unique fashion style is responsible for people often misjudging her.

Angel’s childhood and education
BBNaija Angel was born to London-based parents in the year 2000.
The housemate has revealed she did not enjoy a rosy childhood experience as she has always been in and out of depression since the age of 14.
Angel revealed she began self-harming at the age of 14 and attributed her struggles to pressure from her high school and her strict mother.
According to her, she attended a private high school called Marywood Girls College in Lagos where a score of 96 gives you an ‘A’ grade and you get an ‘F’ grade for scoring 61.
After high school, BBNaija Angel proceeded to the University of Lagos and had to drop out after two weeks without her parent’s consent. She explained that she couldn’t cope with school pressure and she didn’t even attend lectures for the period she was in the school.
“I was at Unilag for like two weeks, I didn’t go for any lectures. It wasn’t my bad but I went to a really secluded high school so getting into Unilag was kind of hard for me to cope with. So I dropped out from there and I didn’t tell my parents since my mum didn’t live in Nigeria”.
After dropping out of UNILAG, Angel said her mother enrolled her in British Lighthouse Foundation College to study Mass Communication, but she ended up dropping out again.
BBNaija Angel’s career
Angel started her career as a writer at the age of 14. According to her, writing was a means of escape from the mental duress she was experiencing at that time.
Angel also stated that she was not sure about what she wanted to make out of life as she was just basically cruising all around.
BBN Angel finally discovered that she wanted to be a movie producer after realizing that all her mates have become graduates. This realization prompted her to audition for the 2021 edition of the Big Brother Naija show and luckily she was selected.
Angel believed that the Reality TV Show is the right place to launch her newly discovered career path.
BBNaija Angel’s relationship and boyfriend
BBNaija Angel revealed she lost her first boyfriend at age 19 in 2019. Entering the show, she described herself as a single lady who is ready to mingle.
Angel has made it known that she is not ready for any serious relationship until she recovers from the death of her late boyfriend.
She also revealed in a discussion with fellow housemates Beatrice and Maria that she doesn’t want to get married.
However, Angel was later seen cuddling in bed with male housemate Sammie. This has made viewers of the show to begin speculating that Sammie and Angel would end up becoming the first housemates to form a romantic relationship in the BBNaija house.
