Who is James Gardiner?
James Gardiner is a popular Ghanaian actor and radio personality. He is known for his ‘loverboy’ roles in Ghanaian and Nigerian movies. He got his first movie role in the 2001 Ghanaian movie titled ‘Byline.’ Since then, he has been featured in dozens of movies and TV shows, including the NdaniTV comedy series -‘Skinny Girl in Transit.’

James Gardiner’s full name is James Timothy Gardiner. He was born to his parents, Mr James Gardiner and Miss Agnes Mensah, on May 16, 1985. Gardiner was born in Accra, Ghana. He is 37 years old as of May 2022.
Even though James Gardiner is the only child of his mother, his father has 3 other children (2 boys and a girl) from another woman. When he was a month old, he lost his father and was raised by his mother, who is currently a nurse in the US.
He grew up in Accra and attended Star Avenue School for his early education. After which, he proceeded to St. Augustine’s College in Cape Coast, Ghana, for his secondary education. James Gardiner later enrolled at the University of Cape Coast to study Philosophy. According to him, studying Philosophy was only a backup plan because he always wanted to become a radio presenter.

James Gardiner started his career as a campus radio presenter at the University of Cape Coast because he has always been passionate about radio presenting. From his childhood days, he listened to and admired veteran broadcaster, Tommy Anann Forson.
After he left the University, he got a job as a presenter at Joy FM. Later on, he began to anchor a show on Hitz FM. However, he decided to venture into acting in 2001. According to Gardiner, going into acting was quite easy for him because he got close to the media when he was very young.
“Acting just really happened. It just happened, so to speak. I was that person who would lead the class showing public speeches at St Augustine’s college”, James told TV host Kwaku Sintim-Misa on the KSM show.

James Gardiner’s marriage and wife
As of the time of publishing this article (May 2022), James Gardiner is not married and has no wife. According to information sighted by DNB Stories Africa, the 37-year-old actor plans to marry in the future. However, he is yet to meet the right woman.
“I really want to settle down. But how to settle down is a problem because I want somebody who is real ….” James Gardiner hinted in an interview.
Meanwhile, in January 2022, James Gardiner made a shocking revelation about his love life. He claimed that his girlfriend dumped him for not spending quality time with her. The Ghanaian-born actor revealed this in the Ahosepe Xtra reality program on Adoms TV.
James Gardiner and Toke Makinwa’s marriage joke
James Gardiner allegedly ran into Nigerian actress and radio personality Toke Makinwa while she was changing her clothes on a movie set. Afterward, Toke Makinwa posted a video on Instagram saying that James had seen her nakedness and must marry her.
James Gardiner, on the other hand, insisted that he was wearing glasses and didn’t see anything. However, the actress further teased that James must marry her and kill 10 cows for their marriage.
James Gardiner’s Children
As of May 2022, James Gardiner has no child. On 2018 Father’s Day, he posted pictures of two beautiful children on his Instagram page, and most of his fans thought they were his children. However, his caption refutes such claims.
