Zlatan Ibile is a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter, and dancer. He is well known for his hit songs like “Yeye Boyfriend”, “Bolanle”, “Zanku”, “Ale Yi” and many others. Zlatan is also famous for his popular slang “Kapaichumarimarichopaco” and “Ayi” which has become a catch-phrase for some of his fans and music lovers at large.

Early life and childhood
Zlatan’s real name is Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael. He was born on December 19, 1994, in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. He is 27 years old as of June 2022. Zlatan hails from Ekiti State, the Southwest part of Nigeria. He spent part of his childhood in Ilorin before moving to Lagos. Zlatan and his siblings were raised in a Christian home. His father is said to be a pastor at the Redeem Christian Church of God.

How Zlatan started his career
Zlatan Ibile started nursing the idea of going into music during his secondary school days, but he kick-started his music career during his undergraduate days at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic. At the age of 19, he participated in and won the One Mic Campus Tour music competition held in Abeokuta, Ogun State which was sponsored by Airtel Nigeria. This win fueled his zeal to pursue his music career and to be in the music industry.
In 2017, Zlatan gained recognition in the music industry after releasing the track “My Body” which featured popular Nigerian rapper, Olamide. The song became a massive hit track and gave Zlatan nationwide recognition. As a result of this, Lawrence Irabo, the co-owner of Alleluyah Boiz Entertainment (A.B.E) decided to sign Zlatan to the record label. In 2018, Zlatan gained further recognition following his collaboration in the hit track “Able God” with music sensations Chinko Ekun and Lil Kesh.
Shortly after, Zlatan dropped another hit song titled Zanku, an acronym for (Zlatan Abeg No Kill Us) which was accompanied by a dance routine by the same name. Zanku dance or “leg work” quickly became one of the trending dance routines in Nigeria and other places.
