Lagos flood: LASG gives update on trapped vehicle in Agege

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service has given an update on the white Accura SUV that got trapped at Oyatoki Canal in Agege Lagos amid the heavy downpour on Saturday morning.

According to the director of the state’s fire and rescue agency, Mrs Margaret Adeseye, all three occupants of the car were rescued successfully and are now in a safe condition.

The three men in the vehicle at the time it was trapped were rescued by the Agege fire crew successfully, the agency said in a tweet.

“The public should be informed that the Accura car eventually got trapped by 08:09hrs Saturday at Oyatoki Canal by Shoretire Street, Oko Oba-Agege, Lagos. However, it was rescued by the Agege Fire Crew of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service. All three adult male occupants are in safe conditions”

However, some social media users still maintained that some of the victims are still missing.
