Beyoncé’s visual album ‘Black Is King’ is coming to Disney Plus in July

Beyoncé has released the trailer for her new visual album titled “Black Is King”.

“Black Is King” is inspired by “The Lion King” and will premiere globally on Disney Plus on July 31.

“Black Is King” was written, directed and executive-produced by Beyoncé and the film will feature appearances from the entire Carter family – Beyoncé and her husband Jay Z with their children Blue Ivy and twins Rumi and Sir.

“Black Is King” is based on Beyoncé’s “The Gift” album which was inspired by Disney’s 2019 remake of “The Lion King”.

The film is a celebration of blackness in the midst of the ongoing issues of racism rocking America.

Beyoncé earlier dropped a surprise single called “Black Parade”, a song focused on Black empowerment with references to the nationwide Black Lives Matter protests following the unlawful murder of Black man George Floyd.
