Wizkid begs Boris Johnson to let him go back to Nigeria

It appears Nigerian music star Wizkid has been held up in London due to the coronavirus travel restrictions.

In a recent video, the 29-year-old star was heard asking UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson to allow him “go”.

In the video, Wizkid was heard saying in Nigerian pidgin:

“Boris Johnson, wetin you dey talk? When una go let us go, tell us.”

Nigerian singer and songwriter Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, came to nationwide fame after releasing his 2010 hit single “Holla at Your Boy”.

The song was the lead single from Wizkid’s debut studio album Superstar (released in 2011).

Wizkid’s music career has flourished over the years – he is currently one of the best-selling Nigerian music artistes and has won several awards.

Wizkid was nominated at the upcoming 2020 BET Awards under the BET Her Award category for his collaboration with Beyoncé, Blue Ivy Carter and Saint Jhn in Brown Skin Girl.
