A member of the Enugu State House of Assembly Mr Chijioke Ugwueze is dead. He was 49 years old.
Mr Chijioke Ugwueze before his death was representing Isi-uzo Constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly.
Mr Ugwueze’s death came three days after the death of another Enugu State politician – the Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Area, Chief Patrick Omeje.
The death of Mr Chijioke Ugwueze was confirmed by his immediate younger brother, Mr Ejike Ugwueze.
Ejike Ugwueze said that the late brother was hypertensive before his death and complained of symptoms of malaria on Friday morning.
According to him, the late lawmaker was rushed to a private hospital in Enugu on Friday morning and was later transferred to Enugu state Teaching Hospital Parklane, where he died in the evening.
