‘One Million Boys’ leader ‘Ebila of Ibadan’ has been killed, Police to give more details soon

The Oyo Police Command has confirmed the killing of a suspected gang leader in Ibadan.

We gathered that Abiola Ebila who goes by the popular title “Ebila of Ibadan” was killed on Sunday afternoon, around noon time.

Ebila of Ibadan was allegedly shot during a reprisal attack by a rival gang at the Kudeti area of Ibadan.

Abiola Ebila was the leader of the dreaded “One Million Boys” gang – a violent group that has been involved in a number of violent attacks in the state.

Mr Ebila allegedly masterminded the killing of the rival gang leader, Moshood Oladokun, in May during a clash of the two gangs. It was gathered that Mr Oladokun’s group on Sunday killed Mr Ebila during a retaliatory attack.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo state, Mr Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the incident on Sunday evening.

Mr Olugbenga Fadeyi said:

“Yes, he has been killed. But I am yet to get details of the incident. We will brief the press when we get details of the incident. Police have been deployed to the area to maintain peace.”

Fadeyi said Ebila of Ibadan had been long declared wanted by the police. He said his corpse was brought to the police station in a commercial tricycle.
