Nigerian music star Rema set social media platforms buzzing with activity in the early hours of Monday after embarking on a Kanye West kind of Twitter rant.
Rema, 20, poured his heart out in a series of Twitter messages, touching everything about his life from the time he stole a laptop to the girl who rejected his love and inspired his song “Why”.
In one of his many tweets, Rema whose real name is Divine Ikubor also thanked ex-US president Barack Obama for featuring his song, “Iron Man” on his 2019 favourite song playlist.
Rema’s Monday morning Twitter rant caused a torrent of reactions from social media users. The Mavin signee’s actions also drew support from other prominent Nigerian celebrities, including Burna Boy who promised the 20-year-old musician his unflinching support.
In a reaction to Rema’s Twitter meltdown, Burna Boy tweeted:
“I’m so happy I had to come back on Twitter for 2mins. Big up @heisrema for real bro. You really made my day. I dey for you Officially.”
