The New York Times just ran a feature on Nigerian superstar Tiwa Savage titled Tiwa Savage, Queen of Afrobeats, Makes a New Start.
The full-length feature expounded the singer’s journey in the Nigerian music industry and the crux of her recently released album, “Celia”.
Tiwa Savage’s 4th studio album “Celia” was released on August 28, 2020. In the New York Times article, the album is described as Tiwa Savage’s American debut album in reference to the album’s push for an American and worldwide audience.
Another highlight of the Tiwa Savage’s New York Times feature is the two made-in-Nigeria looks she wore in the editorial.
The photos were shot in Lagos by Nigerian creative photographer Stephen Tayo.
Look 1: The patterned aso-oke suit by Kenneth Ize
Look 2: The polka dot see-through dress from Tola Adegbite’s fashion label Turfah
The looks were creatively assembled by Nigerian stylist, Daniel Obasi.
