Video shows soldiers denying Lagos Judicial Panel of Enquiry access to inspect mortuary

Video evidence has shown the moment soldiers prevented members of the Lagos Judicial Panel of Enquiry from gaining entry into the Military Hospital to inspect the mortuary for dead #ENDSARS victims.

The mortuary inspection is part of the process of investigation by the newly formed judicial panel of inquiry and restitution for victims of SARS-related abuses in Lagos.

In the video, men of the Nigerian military were seen blocking the panel members from entering the hospital.

They threatened to get aggressive if they don’t leave.

It was later learnt that after the initial resistance, the panel members were allowed in and shown “some rooms”.

On why the panel did not pre-inform the army about their coming, the panel’s chair said that giving prior notice to the army might defeat the purpose of their investigation.
