Kannywood actress Ummi Ibrahim, popularly known as Ummi Zee Zee, has confirmed rumours that she and Nigeria’s former military President Ibrahim Babangida (IBB) dated.
Ummi Zee Zee (in her 30s) disclosed during an interview with Daily Trust that IBB (79) was her boyfriend but they have broken up.
She said:
“Former Head of State General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida was my boyfriend then but not anymore. However, we are presently friends and we respect each other. Currently, I have a boyfriend who is not in the entertainment industry and we are planning to get married, God willing.”
IBB has not made a statement concerning Ummi Zee Zee’s claim.
The former head of state lost his wife, Maryam Babangida in 2009 and he has not remarried since then.
