Ese Brume is a Nigerian track and field athlete who specializes in the game of long jump.
Though Ese Brume has won numerous medals, including three African Championships Gold, the Delta-State-born athlete came into more prominence after winning a Bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
She was the first Nigerian to win a medal at the 2020 Olympics event. Ese Brume also won a bronze medal at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar.
Asides from jumping, Ese Brume is also a sprinter. She was part of Nigeria’s winning 4×100 meters relay team at the 2013 African Junior Athletics Championships.

Ese Brume’s sports career
Ese Brume got into athletics in 2008 when she was still in secondary school. That same year, she represented her state, Delta, at the National School Sports Festival (NSSF) where she came second in long jump.
After that initial stint, Ese withdrew back from sports until her coach, Mr Kayode Yaya, invited to her Benin. Ese began training with Kayode after she relocated to Benin.
