Watch Beyoncé’s 2022 Oscars’ performance in full

As expected, the Queen of Stage herself Beyoncé opened the 94th Academy Awards ceremony with a Black-powered performance of her song “Be Alive” from the 2021 biographical drama film King Richard.

The song is also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song – Beyoncé’s first nomination in that category.

Beyoncé’s performance at the 2022 Oscars event will be her first time performing on stage in over two years – her last performance of that note was at Kobe Bryant’s funeral in February 2020.
