Curvy Nigerian actress Yvonne Jegede has admitted she had surgery to restore her shape after childbirth.
The dimpled beauty is currently included in our list of most beautiful Nigerian actresses under 50.
The mother of one said that she did the fat-removal procedure known as liposuction. Jegede stated she had the surgery to remove stomach fat after she had her son, Xavier, in 2018.
Liposuction is a surgical procedure done to remove fat from specific areas of the body, such as the abdomen, hips, thighs, buttocks, etc. Also known as lipoplasty and body contouring, liposuction is one of the commonest types of plastic surgeries known.
The 36-year-old Nollywood actress made the disclosure during an Instagram Live session with an industry colleague. The actress said she did the surgery in Nigeria and didn’t have to travel abroad for it.
Jegede is not the first Nigerian celebrity to have worked on her body. Over a dozen others have, including controversial actress Tonto Dikeh.
Commenting about her surgery, Yvonne Jegede said: “Yes, I did surgery (liposuction) on my stomach after I had my son, so that made me look curvier. I had the surgery here in Nigeria. I don’t have issues with anyone on earth; I do whatever I want with myself and body.”
Plastic surgeries are increasingly gaining popularity in Nigeria and clinics offering cosmetic services have multiplied over the years.
