The death of a chief magistrate of the Lagos State Ministry of Justice Mrs Abimbola Aoko-Komolafe has been confirmed.
Justice Aoko-Komolafe is believed to have died on Monday morning, August 17. She was aged 51.
A female worker at the ministry confirmed that Mrs Abimbola Aoko-Komolafe visited her office the week before her death and did not show any sign of illness.
Justice Abimbola Aoko-Komolafe used to sit at Court 2, Ebute-Meta Gardens but was recently posted to Court 2, Tinubu Magistrates Court, Lagos.
Reacting to her death, the Convener of Fight Against Corruption in the Judiciary, Bayo Akinlade stated that: “Her sudden death comes as a great shock to many who interacted with Her honour before she passed on.”
Justice Abimbola Aoko-Komolafe’s cause of death is not yet known.
