Third victim of Ikeja helicopter crash later died

The third victim of the Ikeja helicopter crash on Saturday has died.

The helicopter, a Bell 206 B3 helicopter owned by Quorum Aviation crashed into a building at Opebi in the Ikeja area of Lagos on Friday, August 28.

Two out of the three passengers of the helicopter died on the spot and the third victim who was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, Ikeja, later died in the night.

All three passengers of the helicopter were crew members who flew into Lagos from Port Harcourt, Quorum Aviation said in a statement.

Captain Chika Prudence Ernest drove the helicopter that crashed

The names of the first two casualties of the Ikeja helicopter crash are Captain Chika Prudence Ernest and Engineer Clement Ndiok – the pilot and co-pilot.

The name of the third victim of the Ikeja helicopter crash is not immediately known.
