‘I have bruises all over’ – Mr Macaroni speaks after his arrest

Popular Nigerian comedian Debo Adebayo a.k.a Mr Macaroni has spoken up on video after his arrest yesterday, February 13, during the #OccupyLekkiTollGate protest.

The popular comedian and 39 others were arrested by the police on Saturday morning, February 13, for coming out to protest against the reopening of the tollgate where soldiers opened fire on unarmed protesters in October last year.

Speaking about his arrest, Mr Macaroni said they were stripped naked and beaten while in police custody and were also threatened by the police that they would be killed.

The young comedian said he still has bruises all over his body from the beating and violence he experienced while in police custody.
