Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari has taken off to London today, March 30, 2021, for medical check-up.
Reports reaching DNB Stories Africa say that the president is due for a “thorough medical examination” by his doctors in London this week.
The President will stay in London for two weeks for the medical examination and treatment, according to a statement released by his aide for media and publicity, Femi Adesina.
President Buhari’s medical trip comes as doctors in the country plan to begin a nationwide strike on Thursday, April 1, over the government’s failure to implement an agreement it reached with the doctors at a meeting held three weeks ago.
The Nigerian government has been severely criticized for its poor attention to the country’s healthcare system while their leaders always jet off to other countries for their medical needs.
