Bayelsa governor removes BBNaija Nengi as girl child ambassador, replaces her

Governor Duoye Diri of Bayelsa State has removed ex-BBNaija housemate Nengi Rebecca Hampson as face of the Bayelsa girl child and replaced her with Ebizi Blessing Eradiri, a first-class graduate of Law at the Niger Delta University (NDU).

Nengi’s replacement, Ebizi Blessing Eradiri, is a topclass law student who also graduated tops of her class at the Nigerian Law School.

Governor Diri’s revocation of Nengi’s appointment comes after many Nigerians faulted the decision to choose a reality TV star for the exalted position over a student of excellent academic standing.

Governor Diri on Monday, January 11, announced that Ebizi Blessing Eradiri is now the new face of the Bayelsa girl child. He also gave her an automatic employment of lecturing at the NDU’s Faculty of Law.

The governor also condemned those who he said “politicized” his earlier appointment of Nengi, stressing that his administration will continue to prioritize education.
