The ongoing controversy between Nigerian singer Dbanj and his sexual abuse accuser Seyitan Babatayo has taken a different twist.
Dbanj through his lawyer Mike Ozekhome has sued Miss Seyitan Babatayo again for the sum of N1.5 billion.
Court documents show Dbanj whose real name is Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo is requesting the sum of N1billion for general damages and N500million for punitive and exemplary damages.
The compensation is, as court documents show, for “the untold embarrassment, derision, public ridicule, odium, obloguy, marital disharmony, mental agony and psychological trauma which the Defendants’ tweets and publication have caused the claimant.”
Miss Seyitan is also expected to make an appearance in court within thirty days of which failure to do so may result in judgement being passed in her absence.
Dbanj in an earlier court notice had demanded for N100 million in damages as well as a public apology from Seyitan Babatayo.
More details as they come.
