A Port Harcourt-based pastor named David Alfred has been subjected to public ridicule after he was beaten by young people in the city on the accusation that he is gay and was making sexual advances to men on Whatsapp.
Pastor David Alfred who is the General Overseer of Faithful People’s Assembly Church in Bayelsa State was accused of sending Whatsapp messages to men and asking them for sex.
Screenshots of these chats have been released online. In one of the messages, the pastor is seen begging the man to allow him to perform oral sex on him.
A group of men had cornered the pastor to confront him over the allegations of him asking men for sex. The encounter ended in violence when the boys descended on the pastor, beating and punching him.
In the video, the boys were heard saying David Alfred ministers at Salvation Ministry. Salvation Ministry has now released a statement denying he’s one of their pastors.
It was later learnt that Pastor David Alfred used to work with Salvation Ministry before he left the ministry to open his own church.
