Swanky Jerry (also written as SwankJerry) is a Nigerian celebrity stylist, reality TV star, designer, and image consultant. He is well known for his appearance on the new Netflix reality show “Young, Famous and African”.

Swanky Jerry’s full name is Jeremiah Ogbodo. He was born on July 4, 1991, in Lagos State. The celebrity stylist has not shared any details about his parents or siblings but he revealed he lost his father at a young age.
Though originally from Eastern Nigeria, Swanky Jerry had his primary and secondary education in Lagos State. He attended Command Day Secondary School, Oshodi, Lagos State where he obtained his WAEC Certificate in 2009. He later proceeded to the University of Lagos where he bagged a degree in Business Administration. He later earned a formal styling accreditation from the School of Style in New York.
How Swanky Jerry started his career
Swanky’s love for fashion started at a young age as he and his family travelled from city to city. He revealed he was the go-to guy when it comes to fashion items and his family and friends had the habit of seeking his opinion about what they wore and wanted to wear before stepping out.
He also explained how socialization became a coping mechanism after his father’s death and that turned him into the popular stylist he is today.
Swanky Jerry started his career officially in 2012 with the launch of his fashion brand “Swanky Signatures and Styling”. Before that, he had worked as a Public Relations agent on the island for different beauty brands, clubs, hotels and other small businesses.
He had his big break after styling popular artiste Davido for the music video shoot of his 2012 song “All Of You” in New York. He began trending in Nigeria and America during the shoot and after the video came out.
Swanky Jerry is known to be the personal stylist of Nigerian actress, Tonto Dikeh. He has styled the likes of Davido, 2face Idibia, Juliet Ibrahim, Mercy Eke, Dbanj, Rita Dominic, and a host of others. He has also styled former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for an interactive session he held with entertainers while he was campaigning for his second term in office.

Swanky Jerry marriage and wedding
As of the time of writing this article, Swanky Jerry is not married and does not have a wife.
However, the stylist is said to have proposed to his girlfriend in London on May 24, 2018. Pictures of his engagement were shared on Instagram by his colleague, Yvonne Nwosu, CEO of Yvonne Couture. However, nothing is known about this Swanky Jerry’s girlfriend because he hardly talks about her.
There are also reports that the news of the proposal might be a sham.
